The Sherbourne is the doorway into Hypnos, and it is the firm one. Hypnos builds it primarily from cotton, augmented with natural wool and silk layers; the higher cotton content is deliberate, since cotton moves heat away and helps you sleep cooler on a firmer surface. Underneath sits the Hypnos honeycomb 8-turn pocket coil unit that the Castle Series is built around.

Hypnos has handcrafted beds in Buckinghamshire, England since 1904 and has held an unbroken Royal Warrant since 1929, currently granted by His Majesty King Charles III. The Canadian line is designed in England and built under license in Edmonton by Araam Inc. The Royal Warrant covers exactly what it says: manufacturers of beds, mattresses and upholstery.
