Sprout mattresses are handcrafted in Edmonton by Araam Inc., a Canadian manufacturer with more than 20 years of mattress-making behind it, and they carry an endorsement no other mattress in Canada holds: the Canadian Chiropractic Association endorses the Sprout line, announced in April 2025. Every Sprout mattress is two-sided and built from natural materials, wool, cotton, and 100% Dunlop latex over zoned pocket coils, then hand-tufted so the layers stay put through years of flipping and rotating.

The coil gauge tells you the feel before you ever lie down. Lower numbers mean thicker wire, so the 13-gauge lumbar zone in the Firmus is the firmest touch in the line and the 16-gauge Somnus core is the softest. All three share the rest: herringbone 100% cotton covers, hand-tufting with wool rosettes, a King Zip n' Link option that arrives as two zip-together halves, and a 10-year full warranty that is not prorated.

New for 2026, all three models also come in single-sided builds that never need flipping: the Firmus single-sided ($3,264 queen), Durus single-sided ($4,050), and Somnus single-sided ($4,166). On Sprout's official comfort scale each single-sided build sits slightly firmer than its two-sided sibling, and the lower price makes them the most accessible way into the line.

A two-sided mattress keeps its warranty only on an even, solid base, so Sprout builds matching foundations in hardwood from sustainable Canadian forests: the 7-inch slat box, the 4-inch low profile, and the 8-inch full-flex. The 2-inch natural latex pillow topper rounds out the line for anyone easing into a softer surface.
