The single-sided Somnus is the soft option of Sprout's single-sided trio. On the official comfort scale it sits at position two: slightly firmer than the plush two-sided Somnus, with a feel Sprout places between the Somnus and the Durus. Side sleepers who found the two-sided version a touch too plush tend to land exactly here.
Because the comfort layers are finished on one face, there is no flipping, just an occasional rotation, and the price reflects it: $4,166 for a queen versus $6,658 for the two-sided build. It is made in Edmonton as part of the only mattress line endorsed by the Canadian Chiropractic Association as of mid-2026.
