Why is Canadian down special?
Canadian prairie geese develop premium down clusters to survive harsh winters. Cold climate forces better insulation development. This is why Canadian Hutterite down costs more but performs better than down from warmer regions. The down lasts 15-20 years with dry cleaning versus 8-10 for imported down.

How do I care for French linen sheets?
Wash in cold water, line dry or low heat tumble dry. Linen actually improves with washing - gets softer each time. No fabric softener needed (damages fibers). The relaxed wrinkled texture is part of linen character - ironing is optional. Linen is way easier to care for than people think.
Should I buy down duvet with cotton or Tencel shell?
Cotton shell ($295 on sale) is classic and breathable. Tencel shell ($375 on sale) is softer and more moisture-wicking - good for hot sleepers or people who sweat. Both are quality - Tencel is our premium option. Dorothy sleeps with Tencel. I use cotton. Try both at showroom to feel difference.
What size French linen duvet cover do I need?
Match your duvet size. Queen duvets (88x90 inches) need queen covers. King duvets (104x90 inches) need king covers. The cover should be same size or 2-4 inches larger than duvet - not smaller or the duvet bunches up inside. We have all sizes at 441 1/2 West St.
