The Iceland pillow matches the Iceland duvet in construction. 500 thread count cotton sateen with a Damask Swiss dot weave, Hutterite white goose down at 725 fill power from Western Canada, treated with Ultra Fresh. Manufactured in Toronto, Canada. Backed by a 5-year quality warranty.
The Hutterite down clusters are consistently large-formed and resilient, which means the pillow holds its loft through the night rather than compressing flat by morning. 725 fill power is a genuine step up from standard 600-loft pillows in how the fill rebounds.
Choosing Your Fill Level
Three fill weights, same shell and down throughout:
- Level 1, Softer, lower loft. Good for stomach sleepers or those who prefer a flatter pillow.
- Level 2, Medium loft. Works for most side and back sleepers. The most popular choice.
- Level 3, Fuller, higher loft. Good for side sleepers with broader shoulders or those who prefer a firmer feel.

Where the Iceland sits in the Highland Feather pillow range
The Iceland 500TC Hutterite White Goose Down Pillow is Hutterite white goose down at 725 loft in a 500 thread count cotton sateen shell, one of ten Highland Feather down pillows Mattress Miracle carries. Queen prices run $410 in Level 1 (soft, low, stomach sleepers) to $588 in Level 3 (full, side sleepers); Level 2 is $432 and suits most back sleepers.
- One step down: the Vaasa 700TC White Goose Down Pillow, $272 Queen Level 2, with white goose down, 600 loft, 700 thread count cotton sateen shell.
- One step up: the TENCEL Organic Cotton White Goose Down Pillow, $432 Queen Level 2, with Hungarian white goose down, 750 loft, Tencel and cotton shell.
All ten pillows are filled to order in Toronto and carry a 5 year warranty. Higher loft buys a springier, longer lasting pillow at the same fill level; a higher thread count buys a smoother, quieter shell. See the whole set on the Highland Feather range page, and match the fill level to how you sleep with our down pillow guide.
Washing this pillow
Use a pillow protector under the pillowcase and wash the pillow itself two or three times a year: front loading washer, cool gentle cycle, a little mild detergent, two pillows at once to balance the drum, then low heat with dryer balls until the centre is completely dry. Squeeze the middle before you take it out; if it feels cool or heavy, give it another 20 minutes. Our goose down pillow washing guide covers the details.

Choosing the Right Down Pillow
Down pillow loft refers to the volume and fluffiness of the down clusters. Higher loft numbers (600, 725, 750, 950) mean larger, more resilient clusters that trap more air and provide better insulation while remaining lightweight. A 600-loft pillow is an excellent everyday choice; 725+ loft is a luxury upgrade with noticeably softer, more resilient fill.
Sleep position matters: Side sleepers generally need a firmer, higher-loft pillow to fill the gap between shoulder and ear. Back sleepers do well with medium loft. Stomach sleepers should choose the lowest fill level to keep the neck in a neutral position.
