Sprout Somnus 13-Inch Two-Sided Soft Natural Mattress

The Somnus is the soft one, and Sprout built the softness where it belongs: into the core itself. A queen runs 792 pocket S-coils in 16-gauge wire, the thinnest gauge and highest coil count in the line, so the springs give more readily before the natural layers even come into play. At 13 inches crown to crown, it is also the tallest of the three Sprout mattresses.

Soft does not mean sink-and-stay-stuck here. The comfort layers on each side are wool, 100% Dunlop latex, cotton, and Airbond, Sprout's wool-and-cotton blend. Dunlop latex is a naturally resilient material; it recovers its shape the moment you move, which is what separates a plush natural bed from a soft foam one that remembers where you were lying an hour ago. The vegetable-dyed herringbone cotton cover is hand-tufted with wool rosettes, same as its firmer siblings.
