Sprout Durus 12.5-Inch Two-Sided Medium Natural Mattress

Ask which Sprout mattress fits the widest range of sleepers and the answer is the Durus. It sits in the middle of the line at 12.5 inches crown to crown, built on 768 pocket T-coils in 15-gauge wire: softer than the Firmus core, firmer than the Somnus. Sprout builds it as the all-positions option for side, back, and stomach sleepers, and that matches what we see when customers move between the three beds on our floor.

The Durus also adds a fourth material to the stack: Airbond, Sprout's blend of wool and cotton that brings breathable loft and steadier temperature through the night. It joins wool, 100% Dunlop latex, and cotton on each side of the coil core, all under a vegetable-dyed herringbone cotton cover finished with a designer tape edge. Functional handles make the flip-and-rotate routine far less of a wrestling match.

Like every Sprout mattress, the Durus is endorsed by the Canadian Chiropractic Association, an endorsement announced in April 2025 and, as of mid-2026, held by no other mattress brand in Canada.

A queen is $5,732 CAD at 2026 MSRP. The King Zip n' Link option arrives as two halves that zip together, which makes stairways and tight corners far less dramatic. The full-flex box spring is the matching premium base, and the Sprout latex pillow topper can soften the surface later if your preferences shift.
