Brad founded Mattress Miracle in 1997 in Brantford, Ontario. By that point he had already spent more than a decade learning the mattress trade from the manufacturing side, working with Canadian-licensed brands like Restonic, Sleep In, and CJ Mulholland. He opened the West Street showroom because he believed independent retail could do something the chains structurally could not: take time with each customer and stand behind every mattress that left the building.
Forty-plus years later, that is still what happens at 441 1/2 West Street. Brad is on the showroom floor most days fitting customers personally. He pays the staff a salary rather than commission so the recommendation a customer hears matches what their body actually needs, not what hits a quota that week.
