Nine inches, five layers, and not one of them is polyurethane foam. The Eco Haven is built entirely from organic cotton, organic wool, and Natura latex, top to bottom. No synthetic foam blends tucked in under a nice-looking cover.
Built to order by Natura, about four weeks. This model is not on our showroom floor; the Eco Brilliance and Eco Transcend are, if you want to feel the NaturaLatex build before you decide.
The Eco Haven is part of Natura's Organic Line, built with organic cotton, Natura Grow Wool and NaturaLatex. Two different certifying bodies checking two different kinds of material, so "organic" here means something specific and verified, not just a word on a tag.
What's in the build
Starting at the top, the cover is a organic cotton stretch-knit ticking. Underneath that sits 2.3 lbs of Pure Natura Grow Wool, which starts the temperature-regulating work before you even reach the latex. From there:
- 0.4 inch NaturaLatex quilt layer for the first bit of surface softness
- 2 inch NaturaLatex comfort layer
- 6 inch NaturaLatex support core, the foundation of the mattress
- All-latex construction, no polyurethane foam anywhere in the build
- Naturally breathable, so heat has less chance to get trapped the way it can in dense foam
- Organic cotton, wool and latex throughout
The Eco Haven can be ordered with a different comfort layer on each side of the mattress. If you and your partner want different firmness, that's built into the mattress itself rather than something you have to solve with toppers later.
Why latex holds up over time
Latex doesn't compress and break down the way foam does over years of regular sleeping. It keeps its shape and support, which is part of why Natura backs the Eco Haven with a 20-year warranty. The wool layer adds its own practical job on top of that: it wicks moisture through the night and helps keep the surface temperature steady, so the mattress doesn't sleep as warm as a straight foam layer would.
A queen Eco Haven is $3,621.20 CAD. That price reflects an all-latex build with organic cotton and wool in every layer, cover to core.
