How Roll-Pack Shipping Works
- The mattress is compressed and tightly rolled at the factory
- It arrives wrapped in plastic, roughly the shape and size of a large duffel bag
- Take the roll to your bedroom (much easier up stairs than a full-size mattress)
- Unroll on your bed frame, then cut the plastic carefully
- Let it expand for 24 to 48 hours before sleeping on it
- Some initial off-gassing is normal with any new foam-containing mattress, ventilate the room
Roll-pack delivery is the reason modern bed-in-a-box and bed-in-a-roll mattresses exist. It does not affect the long-term quality of the mattress. A pocket-coil hybrid that ships rolled is the same construction as one that ships flat; only the compression and delivery method differs.

How does the Paradise ship?
Rolled and wrapped in plastic, not in a box. The rolled mattress is roughly the shape of a large duffel bag, which makes it much easier to move up a narrow stairwell or into an apartment than a full-size flat mattress.
Is roll-pack mattress quality as good as a regular mattress?
Yes. The Paradise is a genuine Sleep In pocket-coil hybrid. Compression is a delivery method, not a construction shortcut. Once the mattress has fully expanded (24 to 48 hours after unrolling), it performs like any other pocket-coil hybrid of the same specifications.
How long does the expansion take?
Usually 24 hours for the bulk of expansion; full shape and firmness settle in by 48 hours. Some mattresses continue to firm up slightly over the first week. We recommend waiting at least 24 hours before sleeping on it.
Does the Paradise have an off-gassing smell?
A slight chemical odour for the first few days is normal for any new foam mattress. Open a window and air the room. The smell dissipates within 3 to 7 days in a well-ventilated room.
Is the Paradise suitable for an adjustable base?
Hybrids with pocket coils can be used on adjustable bases with some limitations. Call (519) 770-0001 to confirm compatibility with your specific base.
How firm is the Paradise?
Medium, approximately 5 to 6 on a 10-point scale. Works for most back sleepers and average-weight side sleepers. Not as firm as the High Density Firm or Silk & Wool.
