Standard bunk sizes in Canadian sleeper cabs and RV bunks rarely match residential mattress dimensions. A Freightliner Cascadia, Kenworth T680, or Peterbilt 579 sleeper berth is typically 80" long by 34-42" wide depending on configuration; RV short-queens measure 60" by 74" rather than the residential 60" by 80". Medium-Firm: Who It Works For

Medium-firm is the most forgiving firmness across different sleep positions. Back sleepers find the lumbar supported without sagging. Stomach sleepers benefit from the firmer base keeping the hips level. Side sleepers between roughly 130 and 180 lbs usually find the cushioning adequate for shoulder and hip pressure. Lighter side sleepers may prefer something softer, heavier side sleepers may prefer something firmer.

For truck and RV applications, medium-firm is the standard recommendation because the bunk is usually used for naps as well as full sleep, and medium-firm tolerates both well. Softer mattresses tend to feel worse on short rest breaks because the body doesn't sink into an established sleeping position.
