If your lower back, hips, or legs still feel the day long after you have laid down, the way you position your legs at night matters more than most people realize. The Symbia 10" ergonomic leg bolster is built around one idea: lift and align your lower body so the pressure that builds up through the day finally has somewhere to go.
Zero-Gravity Positioning for Your Lower Body
The bolster's contoured shape cradles your legs in a gentle zero-gravity position, the same neutral posture that takes load off the spine and joints. By raising the knees and supporting the natural curve behind them, it eases pressure and pain through the lower back, hips, and legs without you having to hold any position yourself.
Lumbar and Sciatica Relief
Elevating the knees gently settles the lower back into the mattress, which helps reduce tension along the lumbar spine and takes pressure off the sciatic nerve. For anyone who deals with sciatica flare-ups, or a lower back that stiffens the longer they lie flat, that small change in angle can be the difference between a restless night and a restful one.
What's Inside
- Comfort layer: Gel-infused viscoelastic memory foam that contours to your legs and sleeps cooler than standard memory foam
- Support core: High-density polyurethane foam that holds the bolster's shape under the weight of your legs night after night
- Cover: Breathable coconut polyester knit, machine washable in cold water
- Dimensions: 20" wide x 22" long x 9" tall
- Supported region: Legs
Why Leg Elevation Helps
Raising the legs so the knees sit slightly above the hips encourages a neutral, decompressed position for the lumbar spine and uses gravity to help blood and lymph fluid return toward the heart. Research suggests that even modest leg elevation during sleep can ease lower-back tension and reduce evening swelling in the lower legs for people who stand or sit for long stretches during the day. If you have a circulation-related or chronic back condition, talk to your doctor about whether passive leg elevation fits your treatment plan.
Who This Is For
Dorothy here. The customers who reach for the leg bolster tend to share a few things in common: a lower back that aches after a long day, sciatica that acts up at night, swollen or tired legs, or recovery after surgery when keeping the legs elevated matters. If lying flat has stopped feeling comfortable, this one is worth a try.
How to Use It
Rest your knees so they line up with the curve of the bolster, with the point of the shorter side tucked in at the base of your buttocks. That keeps your knees softly bent and your lower back supported. Most people settle into it within two to three weeks, though plenty feel the difference much sooner. Give your body a little time to adjust to the new position.
Caring for Your Bolster
Spot-clean the foam with a damp cloth only. The coconut cover is machine washable in cold water, then lay it flat to dry. No ironing, no bleach. Additional covers are available through your retailer.
