Why Flippable
A one-sided mattress only gets slept on one way; the comfort layer on that side compresses over time and you see body impressions after a few years. A flippable mattress lets you rotate the wear between two surfaces. Why choose a flippable mattress over a one-sided one?
A one-sided mattress can't redistribute wear; the side you sleep on compresses and you see body impressions after a few years. A flippable mattress lets you rotate wear across two surfaces, which is why a well-maintained flippable typically lasts several years longer than a comparable one-sided model.
How does the Whitney compare to the Dream Catcher?
Both are Sleep In flippable coil mattresses in a similar price band. The Dream Catcher has a higher coil count (1,322 vs. 1,166) and feels slightly firmer underfoot. Many heavier sleepers prefer the Dream Catcher; average-weight sleepers are split between the two. The differences are real but subtle, and easier to feel in person than to describe.
Does the Whitney have different firmness on each side?
No. Both sides are the same firmness, which is what allows even wear when you flip regularly. A dual-firmness flippable would wear unevenly because you'd sleep more on the preferred side.
What foundation does the Whitney need?

Is the Whitney suitable for an adjustable base?
Traditional pocket-coil flippable mattresses are generally not recommended for adjustable bases. Adjustable bases work best with flexible mattresses (memory foam, latex, compatible hybrids). Ask us about adjustable-friendly options.
How difficult is it to flip?
Easier with two people. A 12" flippable weighs more than a one-sided mattress of the same size. Setting a reminder every six months and enlisting a second pair of hands makes the routine manageable.
