The driver drops the boxes at your front door or in your garage. That is it. You handle everything from there: carrying 70+ kilograms upstairs, unpacking, assembling, connecting motors, programming the remote, and disposing of packaging. This is what most online-only retailers offer as their standard delivery option.

For a 30-year-old with a ground-floor bedroom and some mechanical aptitude, this can work. For most people, honestly, it is a headache. Adjustable bed boxes are heavy, awkward, and the assembly instructions assume familiarity with the product.

Room-of-Choice Delivery

The delivery team brings the boxes into the room where the bed will go. Better than curbside, but they typically do not assemble anything. You still need to put the frame together, connect the motors, and test everything yourself. Some retailers call this "white glove" delivery, which is misleading.

True White Glove Delivery

This is the standard that matters. White glove delivery means the team brings the frame into your bedroom, fully assembles it, connects all electrical components, tests every motor function, programs the remote or pairs the app, places your mattress on the base, tests the complete system with the mattress in place, removes all packaging, and takes your old bed away if you have arranged removal.

How Delivery Works at Mattress Miracle

Step 1: Scheduling. After you purchase in-store or by phone, we schedule delivery at a time that works for you. Most deliveries happen within a few days, though we can accommodate tighter timelines when stock is available.

Step 2: Arrival and walkthrough. Our delivery team arrives at your home, confirms the placement room, and assesses the path from the entrance. If stairs or tight hallways are involved, they plan the route before bringing anything inside.

Step 3: Old bed removal (if arranged). If you have requested removal of your existing bed, they take it out first to clear the space.

Step 4: Assembly. The team fully assembles the adjustable base in your bedroom. Legs secured, motors connected, cables routed cleanly, retainer bars positioned.

Step 5: Mattress placement. Your new mattress goes on the base. If you purchased a mattress and base together (which most customers do), the team ensures proper fit and alignment.

Step 6: Testing. Every motor function gets tested with the mattress on the frame. Head up, head down, foot up, foot down, zero gravity preset, flat. The team confirms smooth operation and listens for any unusual sounds.

Step 7: Walkthrough with you. Before leaving, the team shows you how to use the remote, explains the preset positions, and answers any questions. If the base has programmable memory settings, they help you save your preferred position.

Step 8: Cleanup. All packaging, plastic wrap, cardboard, and strapping gets removed from your home. Your bedroom is left clean and ready.

Preparing Your Home for Delivery Day

A little preparation makes the process faster and smoother for everyone.

Clear the path. Measure doorways and hallways between your front entrance and the bedroom. Adjustable bed boxes are typically 120 to 150 centimetres long. Remove any obstacles, shoes, rugs, or furniture that might be in the way.

Strip the old bed. If you are keeping your current bed frame but replacing the mattress, strip the bedding before the team arrives. If the whole bed is being replaced or removed, have it cleared of personal items.

Check your power. Your adjustable base needs a standard outlet within reach of the bed location. Extension cords are not ideal for motorised furniture because they can create voltage drops under load. If the nearest outlet is far from the bed, consider having an electrician add one before delivery day.

Apartment residents: Confirm elevator booking requirements and any building delivery windows with your property management. Some buildings restrict deliveries to certain hours or require advance notice.
