Mattress Miracle Wins the 2026 Brantford Over 35 Indoor Soccer Championship

We sell mattresses for a living. But this Sunday evening, we sponsor champions.

The Mattress Miracle soccer team just clinched the 2026 Brantford Over 35 Indoor Soccer Regular Season championship. That is back-to-back titles for the squad wearing our name on their jerseys every Sunday morning at Syl Apps Community Centre in Paris, Ontario.

The Team Behind the Trophy

Ten players made this season happen. Some weeks all ten showed up. Some weeks it was tighter. That is how recreational league soccer works when you are over 35 and life keeps throwing scheduling conflicts at you.

Back-to-Back

Last year, Mattress Miracle took the 2025 Playoff Championship with a 7-4 win over Rossini Lodge. This year, the team locked down the Regular Season title outright. Two different kinds of championships, two consecutive seasons. That is not something that happens by accident in an eight-team league where every side knows each other's tendencies by October.

The Brantford Over 35 Indoor Soccer league runs from fall through early spring at Syl Apps Community Centre. Sunday morning games at 9, 10, 11, and noon. Eight teams competing: Mattress Miracle, Soccer Jerseys Canada, The Co-operators Norbruis Group, BIG Billyard Insurance Group Cambridge, Rossini Lodge, Pizza Roma, Laracy Tax, and Touch Up.

It is competitive. These are not casual kickabouts. Every team in this league has players who grew up with the game, and some who played at a fairly high level before knees and careers redirected priorities.

Why a Mattress Store Sponsors a Soccer Team

Brad has been part of the Brantford community since 1997. That is almost 40 years of sponsoring local sports, supporting community events, and showing up for the things that make a small city feel like home.

The Mattress Miracle jerseys, with Alan's face grinning on the chest, have become a recognizable sight at Syl Apps on Sunday mornings. There is something satisfying about a local business putting its name on a team that actually competes and actually wins.

This is not just logo placement. Several of the players are genuine friends of the store. When they sent us the championship photo, we were genuinely proud.

What Alan Thinks About All This

Alan, the Mattress Miracle mascot whose face appears on every jersey, has no official comment. He just keeps smiling. He has been smiling since 1997. Championships, slow Tuesdays, deliveries to Hamilton in January, it does not matter. Alan smiles through it all.

If you have seen the jerseys around Brantford, now you know: the team wearing the grinning face on their chest just won the league. Again.

David, Tyler, David, Jason, Robert, Tom, Lee, Keneth, Clarence, and Hilton: thank you for representing Mattress Miracle on the pitch. We are genuinely proud.

And to the Brantford Over 35 Soccer league, thank you for giving a group of grown men a reason to set an alarm on Sunday morning. The boys will be back for the outdoor season, and so will Alan.
