Quick Answer: Vaughan is one of the few GTA cities with both chain retailers and a genuine independent mattress manufacturer. Queensway Mattress in Woodbridge is worth visiting, and the chains at Bass Pro Mills carry the usual Serta/Sealy/Beautyrest lineup. For Restonic (1,222 coils at $1,619 queen) or Sleep In flippable mattresses, those are only available through our Brantford showroom with white glove delivery to all of Vaughan.

Vaughan Actually Has Options
Most of the Ontario cities we write about have a mattress desert problem. Vaughan does not. With roughly 340,000 residents spread across Woodbridge, Kleinburg, Maple, Concord, and Thornhill, Vaughan has attracted both chain retailers and at least one serious independent.
That means you can actually comparison shop locally, which is not something we can say about a lot of York Region communities. The question is not whether Vaughan has mattress stores. It is whether the selection covers the full range of what is available in the Canadian market.
The Bass Pro Mills Cluster
If you have driven down Bass Pro Mills Drive near Canada's Wonderland, you have probably noticed the retail concentration. Within a few hundred metres of each other, you have three national chains all selling mattresses:
| Store | Address | Primary Brands |
|---|---|---|
| Sleep Country | 130 Bass Pro Mills Dr | Serta, Beautyrest, Tempur-Pedic |
| The Brick | 255 Bass Pro Mills Dr | Serta, Sealy, Beautyrest |
| Leon's | 299 Bass Pro Mills Dr | Serta, Sealy, Simmons |
Convenient? Absolutely. You can visit all three in a single trip. But the brand overlap is significant. You are essentially seeing the same four or five manufacturers presented on different showroom floors with different sales approaches.
A 2022 analysis in Furniture Today noted that Sleep Country, The Brick, and Leon's collectively carry roughly 80% of the same mattress SKUs across their Canadian locations, differing mainly in exclusive model names and promotional pricing. The construction underneath those different names is often identical.
Queensway Mattress: An Honest Look
Queensway Mattress at 3590 Rutherford Road in Woodbridge is a different story entirely. They are a family-owned manufacturer that has been making mattresses for over 30 years, and they sell direct from their own facility.
We are going to be straightforward here: Queensway is a legitimate competitor, and if you are in Vaughan, you should visit them. They manufacture their own product, which means their pricing cuts out the middleman. They also offer free GTA delivery and have been around long enough to have a proven track record.
Why local manufacturers matter: Research from the Journal of Consumer Research (2021) found that consumers who purchase from local manufacturers report higher satisfaction rates, partly because shorter supply chains reduce transit damage and allow faster warranty resolution. The Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters association has documented similar patterns in furniture and bedding sectors.
Where we differ from Queensway is in what we carry. They manufacture their own line. We carry Restonic (manufactured in Waterloo, Ontario) and Sleep In (Canadian-made flippable mattresses). These are different products with different construction philosophies. Visiting both stores would give you a genuinely broad comparison, which is more than you can say about visiting three chains on Bass Pro Mills Drive.
What Vaughan Stores Don't Carry
Despite having more mattress retail options than most Ontario cities outside Toronto, Vaughan has some notable gaps in brand availability.
Restonic is not sold at any Vaughan retailer. They distribute exclusively through independent dealers, and their closest authorized showroom to Vaughan is our store in Brantford. Restonic has been manufacturing since 1938 and operates a plant in Waterloo, Ontario, but their distribution model bypasses chains entirely.
Flippable mattresses are largely absent from chain stores. Sleep Country, The Brick, and Leon's almost exclusively carry single-sided mattresses. A dual-sided (flippable) mattress lasts significantly longer because you distribute wear across two sleeping surfaces. The Sleep Research Society estimates that proper rotation and flipping can extend mattress lifespan by 40-60%.
High coil count construction at mid-range prices is also uncommon locally. Most chain store mattresses in the $1,000-$1,500 range use 800-1,000 coils for a queen. Our entry-level Restonic queen starts with 1,222 coils at $1,619.
Talia, Showroom Specialist: "Vaughan customers often tell me they are surprised by the coil counts when they visit. They are used to seeing 800 coils at $1,200 or $1,400 at Sleep Country. When I show them the ComfortCare with 1,222 coils at $1,619, most of them ask why. It is not magic. We just have lower overhead than a Highway 7 storefront, and Restonic's distribution model keeps costs down."

Restonic Lineup and Pricing
Here is what we carry, with specs you can compare directly against anything you find in Vaughan:
| Model | Queen Price | Coils | Key Feature |
|---|---|---|---|
| ComfortCare | $1,619 | 1,222 | Best overall value |
| Revive Reflections ET | $1,395 | 1,200 | Flippable, dual comfort levels |
| Luxury Silk and Wool | $1,395 | 884 zoned | Natural silk and wool fibres |
| Revive Tiffany Rose | $1,995 | 1,188 | Talalay Copper Latex |
| Revive St Charles | $2,150 | 1,188 | 15-inch flagship |
When you are comparing these against Vaughan options, ask the other store for their exact coil count, foam density (in pounds per cubic foot), and whether the mattress is single-sided or flippable. Those three specs tell you more than the brand name or the marketing language on the tag.
Vaughan's Neighbourhoods and What They Mean for Mattress Shopping
Vaughan is really five or six communities that grew together, and your neighbourhood affects your mattress shopping in practical ways.
Woodbridge has the densest retail, including Queensway Mattress and proximity to the Bass Pro Mills stores. If you live in Woodbridge, you have the most convenient local access of anyone in Vaughan.
Kleinburg is Vaughan's rural heritage pocket. Homes here tend to be larger with wider hallways and staircases, which means king-size mattress delivery is rarely an issue. The demographic also tends toward higher budgets, so our Tiffany Rose ($1,995) and St Charles ($2,150) lines get more interest from Kleinburg customers.
Vaughan Metropolitan Centre is the newest development, with high-rise condos around the subway station. Condo delivery requires elevator booking and sometimes loading dock scheduling. Our delivery team handles this regularly for York Region condos. Just let us know your building's procedures when you order.
Maple and Concord are a mix of established subdivisions and newer builds. Standard bedroom dimensions, standard delivery logistics. No special considerations.
About the drive: Vaughan to our Brantford showroom at 441½ West Street is about 120 kilometres, roughly an hour and twenty minutes via the 400 to the 403. Traffic on the 400 southbound can add 20-30 minutes during peak hours. If you are coming on a Saturday morning, leave before 10 and you will hit minimal traffic. We are open Saturday 10am-5pm.
Getting a Mattress to Vaughan
We deliver to all Vaughan communities with full white glove service. That includes bringing the mattress into your bedroom, setting it up on your bed frame, removing all packaging, and taking your old mattress away. Our team wears shoe covers and protects your floors.
For Vaughan specifically, we can also handle:
- Condo elevator bookings at VMC and other high-rise areas
- Tight staircase navigation in older Woodbridge homes
- Basic bed frame assembly if needed
- Scheduling around your building's move-in rules
You do not need to visit the showroom to order. Many of our Vaughan customers call, discuss their needs with Talia, and order by phone. Delivery typically schedules within a few business days. You can also order through our online store with Shop Pay installments available for online purchases.
A Practical Shopping Strategy for Vaughan Residents
If you are serious about finding the right mattress and you live in Vaughan, here is what we would genuinely recommend:
Step one: Visit Queensway Mattress on Rutherford Road. Test their locally manufactured options. Ask about their construction, warranty, and materials. They are a real manufacturer and deserve your consideration.
Step two: Visit one of the Bass Pro Mills chain stores. Test the Serta, Beautyrest, or Sealy models in your price range. Write down the exact model name, coil count, and price. You only need to visit one chain store because the brand overlap between Sleep Country, The Brick, and Leon's is significant.
Step three: Call us at (519) 770-0001 and ask for Talia. Tell her what you tested locally and what you liked or did not like. She can match you against our Restonic lineup and let you know whether the drive or delivery makes sense for your situation.
The 20-minute test: Research published in Sleep Medicine Reviews suggests that a meaningful mattress evaluation requires 15-20 minutes lying in your normal sleep position. Sitting on the edge or lying down for 30 seconds tells you almost nothing about how a mattress will perform over eight hours. Budget your store visits accordingly.
If you end up buying from Queensway or a chain store, that is completely fine. We would rather you find the right mattress for your body than buy from us out of guilt or obligation. But if everything you test locally feels similar, which happens more often than you might expect, that is when Restonic's different construction approach becomes worth exploring.

Do you deliver to Woodbridge and Kleinburg?
Yes, we deliver to all Vaughan communities including Woodbridge, Kleinburg, Maple, Concord, Thornhill, and the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre. Full white glove service with setup, old mattress removal, and floor protection included. Call Talia at (519) 770-0001 to schedule.
How does Mattress Miracle compare to Queensway Mattress?
Queensway manufactures their own mattresses in-house and sells direct. We carry Restonic (made in Waterloo, Ontario) and Sleep In (Canadian-made flippable). These are different products with different construction approaches. Visiting both gives you a broader comparison than visiting multiple chain stores. We genuinely recommend checking out Queensway if you are in Vaughan.
Is the Vaughan Sleep Factory location still open?
The Sleep Factory has operated in the GTA for over 46 years and has listed Vaughan among their locations. For current hours and availability, check their website directly. They carry a different selection than what you will find at the Bass Pro Mills chains, which makes them another worthwhile stop if you are doing a thorough comparison.
Why would I drive to Brantford when Vaughan has its own stores?
You might not need to. Vaughan has better mattress retail coverage than most Ontario cities. The reason some Vaughan customers come to us is specifically for Restonic, which is not sold locally. If you want a 1,222-coil queen for $1,619, or a flippable dual-sided mattress, those options are not available in Vaughan. For the standard Serta/Sealy/Beautyrest range, your local stores have you covered.
Can I order by phone without visiting?
Yes. Call Talia at (519) 770-0001 and she will walk you through our full lineup based on your sleep preferences, budget, and any specific concerns like back pain or temperature regulation. About a third of our York Region orders are placed by phone with delivery. Shop Pay installments are available for online purchases.
