Quick Answer: Temiskaming Shores is outside our white glove delivery range, but we ship rolled mattresses there by courier: the Sleep In Paradise, Cool Breeze and Gel Comfort, the Embassy euro top and the Comfort Sleep, from $475 for a twin. Neither local retailer carries Restonic. Call (519) 770-0001 for a consultation and delivery quote.
What we can deliver to Temiskaming Shores
Our own white glove delivery runs cover Brantford and Southern Ontario. Temiskaming Shores is outside that range, so the full-size Sleep In and Restonic lines are showroom and Southern Ontario only. What we ship to Temiskaming Shores by courier are the rolled models: the Sleep In Paradise, Cool Breeze and Gel Comfort, the Embassy euro top and the Comfort Sleep, from $475 for a twin. Courier delivery is to the door, not into the bedroom, and it does not include old-mattress removal. Call (519) 770-0001 if you are not sure what applies to your address.

Two Towns, One City, One Lake
Temiskaming Shores is an amalgamation that happened in 2004, bringing together New Liskeard, Haileybury, Dymond, and North Cobalt into a single municipality of about 9,920 people. But ask anyone who lives here and they will still tell you whether they are from "New Liskeard" or "Haileybury." The names stuck because the communities have distinct identities, even under one city banner.
The city sits on the southern edge of the Clay Belt along the shores of Lake Timiskaming's Wabi Bay, close to the Quebec border. It is the commercial hub for a surrounding population of roughly 32,500 people spread across small agricultural, forestry, and mining communities.
That hub status matters for mattress shopping. If you live in Englehart, Cobalt, Latchford, or any of the smaller communities within an hour's drive, Temiskaming Shores is likely where you go for furniture. And what is available there defines your options.
The Agricultural Advantage and What It Means for You
Unlike many Northern Ontario communities, Temiskaming Shores has not suffered the boom-and-bust cycles that hit mining and forestry towns. The Clay Belt's agricultural economy provides stability. Farming does not shut down the way a mine closes or a mill downsizes. Dairy, beef, crop farming, and the agricultural supply chain create steady employment that does not depend on commodity prices in the same way.
This economic stability means that people in Temiskaming Shores plan purchases differently than people in single-industry towns. You can think long-term. A flippable mattress that costs more upfront but lasts 13 years makes more sense when you are not worried about whether your employer will exist in three years.
The Long-Term View
A Restonic Reflections flippable at $2,395 lasts 12-14 years. Over 13 years, that is $0.50 per night. A $1,000 mattress from The Brick, replaced every 6 years, costs $0.46 per night but gives you a declining comfort experience over each cycle and two replacements to coordinate. In stable communities, the upfront investment usually wins.
Mattress Shopping in Temiskaming Shores
Temiskaming Shores has two primary furniture and mattress retailers.
The Brick on Highway 11 North in New Liskeard has a large showroom with mattresses from Beautyrest, Sealy, Serta, and Tempur-Pedic. It is a national chain with consistent selection and pricing. You know what you are getting with The Brick.
Bonanza Furniture, also on Highway 11, is privately owned. They carry furniture, appliances, mattresses, and home decor. A local business serving the community with the kind of personal attention that chains cannot always match.
Both are legitimate options. Neither carries Restonic.
There is nothing wrong with them. But if you want something different, something with more coils for the money, something built by an independent Canadian manufacturer rather than one of the three corporate mattress conglomerates, Restonic is that option. And Mattress Miracle is how you get it.

The Coil Comparison That Matters
Walk into The Brick in New Liskeard and look at mattresses in the $1,000 to $1,200 range. Check the coil count on the product tags. Most will show 700 to 850 coils. Some will not disclose the coil count at all, which usually means it is not a selling point.
The Restonic ComfortCare at $1,619 has 1,222. That is not a marginal difference. It is 50% more coils for the same money. Each additional coil means less weight per spring, better contouring to your body shape, less motion transfer to your partner, and a longer usable lifespan.
What More Coils Actually Does
A pocket coil mattress with 800 coils in a queen size has approximately 12.5 coils per square foot of sleeping surface. A mattress with 1,222 coils has approximately 19 coils per square foot. The practical difference: with 19 coils per square foot, the mattress can track your body contour more precisely. The transition between the hip (which sinks more) and the waist (which needs support) is smoother. There are more coils available to bridge the gap, reducing the "hammocking" effect that causes lower back pain in lower-coil-count mattresses. This is basic engineering: more support points means more precise load distribution.
How to Choose Without a Showroom Visit
We understand that driving to Brantford to try mattresses is not practical for everyone in Temiskaming Shores. Here is how Brad helps remote customers choose the right model over the phone.
Brad's Phone Consultation Process
- Sleeping position: Side sleepers generally need more surface cushioning (St. Charles or TiffanyRose). Back sleepers do well with the ComfortCare. Combination sleepers benefit from the responsive latex in the St. Charles
- Body weight: Under 150 pounds, most models feel medium-firm. Over 200 pounds, the ComfortCare's high coil count provides better support than lower-coil alternatives. Over 250 pounds, the Reflections or TiffanyRose offer the most robust support
- Pain points: Lower back pain usually responds to medium-firm support (ComfortCare). Hip and shoulder pain responds to more surface cushioning (St. Charles or Silk and Wool). If pain varies, the Reflections flippable gives you two different feels
- Budget: Brad is honest about what each model does and does not do. He will never upsell you. If the ComfortCare fits your needs, he will say so, even though it is the least expensive option
Brad has been doing this since 1997. He has fitted thousands of customers by phone, many in Northern Ontario communities just like Temiskaming Shores. The conversation takes 15 to 20 minutes. There is no pressure and no sales pitch. Just questions, answers, and a recommendation.

Call 519-770-0001Frequently Asked Questions
Does The Brick or Bonanza Furniture in Temiskaming Shores carry Restonic?
No. Restonic distributes through a limited authorized dealer network. Mattress Miracle in Brantford is the nearest Restonic dealer.
How does the Restonic ComfortCare compare to a Beautyrest at The Brick?
At the $1,000-$1,200 price point, most Beautyrest models have 700-850 coils. The ComfortCare has 1,222. More coils means better body contouring, less motion transfer, and longer lifespan. The construction advantage is measurable. Both are decent mattresses, but the coil count difference is significant.
Can I try a Restonic before buying if I live in Temiskaming Shores?
If you visit Southern Ontario, our Brantford showroom has every model on the floor. If visiting is not practical, Brad's phone consultation process matches you to the right model based on sleeping position, body weight, pain points, and preferences. He has been doing this for decades and is very good at it.
Do you deliver to Cobalt and Englehart?
We do ship rolled mattresses to Temiskaming Shores by courier: the Sleep In Paradise, Cool Breeze and Gel Comfort, the Embassy euro top and the Comfort Sleep, from $475 for a twin.
Is the flippable Reflections worth the extra cost?
If you plan to stay in your home long-term, yes. The Reflections lasts 12-14 years versus 7-8 for one-sided designs. In a stable community like Temiskaming Shores, where people tend to stay, the long-term value usually justifies the upfront cost. It also means one delivery over a period where a cheaper mattress would need replacing twice.
