Mattress sizing seems like it should be simple. It is not. A UK king is not a Canadian king. An IKEA queen from Europe is not the same as an IKEA queen bought in Canada. An RV queen is shorter than a bedroom queen by five inches. And "double" in Canada means the same thing as "full" in the United States.
This guide converts all four systems -- Canadian standard, UK, European (including IKEA), and RV -- with exact inch and centimetre measurements, room size recommendations, and sheet compatibility notes.
Canadian Standard Mattress Sizes
Canada uses the same sizing system as the United States, measured in inches. Canadian Standard Mattress Dimensions
