Both are non-standard, specialty mattress sizes designed for people who find even a standard King too small. They are not part of the mainstream mattress industry's size lineup and are not carried by most retailers in Canada or the United States.
The Texas King was designed for tall sleepers who need more length. At 80 inches wide and 98 inches long, it keeps the same width as a standard King but adds 18 extra inches of length at the foot of the bed. If you are 6'5" or taller and tired of having your feet hang off the edge, this size was made for you.
