Where to Buy a Restonic Mattress in Canada, and How to Choose Size and Firmness

Where to Buy a Restonic Mattress in Canada, and How to Choose Size and Firmness

Quick Answer: In Canada, Restonic mattresses are sold only through authorized independent retailers; Restonic doesn't sell direct online. Mattress Miracle in Brantford carries eight models, with queens from $1,299 to $3,736. Choose size by room and sleepers, and firmness by sleep position and weight.

Restonic ComfortCare side profile showing its layer construction - Mattress Miracle Brantford

Restonic is a mattress brand built by a network of independently owned, licensed factories, a set-up that goes back to 1938, when Restonic began as the Triple Cushion Corporation. Restonic's manufacturer directory lists one Canadian licensee, Restonic Canada West in Surrey, British Columbia, serving B.C., Alberta and Manitoba. The Restonic models Mattress Miracle carries in Ontario are made there by Jordan Mattress, at the same Surrey address. That structure is why you won't find Restonic in most big-box chains. The licensee sells to independent mattress stores, and each store picks the models it carries, so two Restonic dealers in the same province can have different beds on the floor.

Mattress Miracle has been an authorized Restonic dealer in Brantford for years, and our Restonic mattress collection lists every model we carry with live prices by size. Delivery is free anywhere in Ontario, white glove set-up is included within 200 km of Brantford, and customers outside Ontario can message us for a delivery quote. If you're comparing it with the other brands on our floor, the pocket coil mattress collection puts Restonic beside its rivals.

"Half the people who call about Restonic ask the same thing first: why can't I just order it online from Restonic? The answer is the brand was never set up that way. The factory builds, and stores like ours fit you. What I'd tell anyone is to lie on the actual model before you pay for it, because a 'plush' from one line can feel firmer than a 'firm' from another."

What is a Restonic licensee?

A Restonic licensee is an independently owned mattress manufacturer that has the right to build and sell mattresses under the Restonic name in a set territory. Licensees share Restonic's construction standards, product lines and marketing, but each owns its own factory and sells to retailers in its region.

Where can I buy a Restonic mattress in Canada?

A Restonic mattress in Canada is sold through authorized independent mattress and furniture retailers. Restonic's own retailer locator lists authorized stores by distance in kilometres. When we searched Brantford in November 2026 it returned Mattress Miracle first; searches for Montreal and Halifax returned no stores at all. Restonic's FAQ says price depends on your location and your local retailer, and its online catalogue has no buy button. Restonic doesn't run its own Canadian stores, and you won't find the brand on the big online marketplaces, so a listing selling "Restonic" from an unknown seller deserves a phone call to the brand before you pay.

In southwestern Ontario, Mattress Miracle at 441 1/2 West Street in Brantford carries eight Restonic models. The store is a short drive from Paris, Simcoe, Woodstock, Hamilton and Cambridge, and delivery is free across Ontario. Online orders on our site go through Shop Pay, and every Restonic we sell comes with our 60-Night Comfort Guarantee: one exchange, no fee, counted from delivery.

How the Restonic mattress network works

The Restonic mattress network is a group of independently owned factories that build to shared Restonic specifications under licence, a structure that dates to 1938, when three manufacturers founded the Triple Cushion Corporation, which took the Restonic name in 1946. Restonic's manufacturer page lists six U.S. factories, in Iowa, North Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Wisconsin, plus 13 international licensees from Australia to South Korea, and the trade magazine BedTimes reported in December 2024 that the brand is sold in more than 50 countries. The corporate office, now in Las Vegas, develops the product lines and sets construction standards; the licensees own the factories, buy their own materials and sell to retailers in their territories. Restonic's FAQ says it doesn't warehouse inventory, because beds are custom made for its retail partners. Restonic Mattress Corporation owns the brand, sets the construction standards and develops the product lines; the licensees own the factories, buy their own materials and sell to retailers in their territories.

For a Canadian shopper, the network matters in three practical ways. A Canadian-built Restonic crosses the country by truck instead of an ocean by container ship, so lead times are shorter than for an import. Warranty claims go through the retailer to the licensee that built your mattress. And model names can vary by region and by retailer, since licensees build lines for their own market. Our Restonit vs Restonic comparison explains a separate source of confusion: Restonit is a different Ontario brand with a similar name.

What the network looks like from our Brantford showroom

Restonic's warranty terms name the retailer as the first point of contact, so when a question comes up about stock, lead time or a warranty claim, Mattress Miracle is your first call and we take it up with the supplier. You never end up phoning a factory in another province. Because the beds are built to order for retailers, we can usually give you a delivery window for a model and size on the phone.

What to check before you buy from any Restonic dealer

Before you buy a Restonic from any dealer, confirm the store is authorized, the model is current, and you know exactly what the warranty and comfort exchange cover. Those details vary from store to store, even when the mattress is the same.

  1. Ask whether the store is an authorized Restonic dealer. An authorized dealer can file a warranty claim with the licensee; a reseller may not be able to.
  2. Get the full model name and comfort option in writing, for example "ComfortCare Dalton, firm, queen." "Restonic queen" alone tells you nothing.
  3. Ask for the coil count, comfort layers and height. A Revive St Charles is 15 inches with Talalay copper latex; a Foxglove is 12 inches with foam comfort layers. The price gap reflects that.
  4. Find the warranty code on the law tag. Restonic's warranty page explains that a C1 code means 10 years at no charge, C2 means 10 years with the first five at no charge, and C3 means 10 years with the first year at no charge. Most Restonic models we carry list a 10-year warranty, and transport costs aren't covered.
  5. Ask how the store's comfort exchange works: how many nights, whether there's a fee, and whether delivery is charged again.

What size Restonic mattress should you buy?

The right Restonic mattress size depends on who sleeps in the bed and how much room the bedroom has. A queen is the most common choice for couples in Canada, a king suits couples who sleep apart or share with a child or dog, and a twin XL fits tall teens and adjustable split-king set-ups. Allow about 60 cm (24 inches) of walking space on the sides of the bed you use.

Canadian size Dimensions (inches) Dimensions (cm) Best for Restonic models at Mattress Miracle
Twin (single) 38 x 75 97 x 191 Kids, small guest rooms All except Foxglove
Twin XL 38 x 80 97 x 203 Tall teens, split king on an adjustable base Reflections, St Charles and Elizabeth, Silk and Wool
Double (full) 54 x 75 137 x 191 One adult who spreads out, smaller rooms All eight models
Queen 60 x 80 152 x 203 Most couples All eight models
King 76 x 80 193 x 203 Couples who want space, kids or pets in the bed All except Foxglove

Canada has no government standard for mattress sizes, so these are industry figures, and some makers list a double at 53 inches wide instead of 54. We don't currently carry a California king in Restonic, so if your frame is 72 x 84 inches, call before you order. If you plan to put the mattress on an adjustable base, ask us which Restonic builds are approved for it, since not every model is made to flex.

How to choose Restonic firmness

Restonic firmness should match your sleep position and body weight. Most Restonic lines come in a firm and a plush version of the same build, and several come as split comfort, firm on one half and plush on the other. Side sleepers usually do best on plush or medium, back sleepers on medium-firm, and stomach sleepers on firm. Heavier sleepers tend to feel any model softer than the label suggests.

How you sleep Restonic firmness to try first Models to start with
Side, under about 180 lbs Plush Albany, Jasmine, Elizabeth
Side, over about 180 lbs Medium or medium-firm Foxglove, St Charles
Back Medium-firm to firm St Charles, Dalton, Marissa Firm
Stomach Firm Dalton, Tiffany Rose, Reflections Firm
Couple with different needs Split comfort ComfortCare, Marissa, Reflections, Revive copper latex
Want two feels in one bed over time Flippable Silk and Wool (plush side and firm side)

"Firmness labels only mean something inside one line. I've had customers swear the St Charles is firm and others call it soft, and both were right for their bodies. So I ask two things: what position do you wake up in, and does your lower back or your shoulder hurt in the morning. Shoulder pain usually means you need more give on top. Lower back stiffness usually means you're sinking too far."

Talia Grose, sleep specialist, Mattress Miracle

Research backs a middle path for back pain. In a randomised trial of 313 adults with chronic low back pain, published in The Lancet in 2003, Kovacs and colleagues found people on medium-firm mattresses reported less pain than those on firm ones. A 2021 review of the research in the Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology by Caggiari and colleagues reached a similar conclusion, favouring medium-firm mattresses for comfort and spinal alignment. This is general information, so if you live with back pain, ask your doctor or physiotherapist what they'd suggest before you shop.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I buy a Restonic mattress online in Canada?

You can order from a Restonic retailer's website, but not from Restonic itself, because the brand sells only through authorized retailers and doesn't list prices. Mattress Miracle sells its Restonic models online with free delivery in Ontario, and we'll quote delivery anywhere else in Canada.
