It smells faintly of wool and cotton, because that's mostly what's in it. Natura built this mattress with almost nothing synthetic between you and the floor, and once you lie down on it, you can feel the difference.
The Majestic is an 11 inch, all latex mattress from Natura's Latex Line, built in layers that each do one job. Under the certified organic cotton stretch knit cover sits 2.3 lbs of certified organic Pure Natura Grow Wool, which pulls moisture away from your body and keeps the surface from holding heat the way solid foam can. Below that is a single inch of EcoQuilt foam for a soft first touch. Then the real structure starts: two customizable layers of organic NaturaLatex, a softer one on top and a medium firm one underneath, followed by a 6 inch organic NaturaLatex support core that carries the load underneath both.
Why the Layering Matters
Latex on its own is springy and responsive, good at easing pressure at the shoulders and hips without letting your spine sag out of line. Pairing a softer layer over a firmer one lets the Majestic give a little where you need it and hold firm where you don't, which is the balance most side and back sleepers are after. Because latex, wool, and cotton are all naturally breathable, air and moisture move through the whole build instead of getting trapped in one spot.

If you sleep hot, or you're sensitive to the smell of synthetic foam, this is one worth lying on for a few minutes in the showroom rather than judging from a spec sheet. Wool and latex behave differently under your body than memory foam does, and that's easier to feel than to describe.
